This season was a CHORE to get through but there were some decent episodes. season six is actually really good. Hopefully you can react to that one.

This episode, in particular Unique's song, is what made me realize I was trans. I cried so hard when i first heard it and I didn't understand it at first and it took weeks before i came to terms with why i felt this way. While I still haven't actually gone through with the process I've made many baby steps towards it and I have Alex Newell to thank for giving us such a wonderful and emotional performance. <3

"Talk about anxiety!" And in that short sentence you defined the entire franchise. I just realized, I am watching this just after hearing about Donald Southerland's death. Maybe, in his honor, I can recommend one of my favorite Southerland roles (next to M*A*S*H of course): Kelly's Heroes. A fabulous movie with a great cast.

I love how Haley thought finding her parents was more important than 12 hybrid lives. Love how Caroline and Stephan think finding the dumb cure for Elena is way more important than saving 12 hybrids. So crazy how they can completely give a crap about what happens to so many, as long as they get what "they " want! Hate that so much! I love Caroline, but she's so annoying in this episode. Not having her boyfriends back, betraying him for Stephan. Telling Stephan about Damon & Elena 🙄 sad about Tyler's mom 💔

This is one of my least favorite episodes BUT "If I Were A Boy" is one of the most beautiful songs Glee has EVER done, Alex KILLS it.

This episode honestly isn't as bad as I remembered, especially if you take away Blurred Lines and the twerking. I just think at this point they were too focused on the trend and the popular thing at the time, like Gangnam Style and Call Me Maybe. And while twerking in itself isn't bad, it's not appropriate for high school, especially if the teacher is doing it with the students! BUT, as creepy as it is to watch Will twerk and sing a song about encouraging rape with his students, he really stepped up for Unique. While Sue was just horrible (even though she was right about twerking). I'm not a Beyoncé fan but I always loved If I Were A Boy, both the lyrics and the music video which talks about sexism and double standards. But it also works so well in this instance. I love how simple this rendition is and that Alex didn't overdo it with the vocals. It makes it more raw and honest. Loved that moment where Ryder looked at the boys. He was able to see past the catfishing and understand what Unique had to deal with on a daily basis. I know we all bitch about the show (and for good reason) but it really was ahead of its time in a lot of ways. I wasn't even a big fan of Jake or his and Marley's relationship but that was so disappointing. The Glee writers were obsessed with cheating (which is honestly a big red flag). Well at least we got that Wrecking Ball cover out of it. Lea actually got a "Finn" tattoo in 2011 (two years BEFORE Cory died), but on her left hip. She also has a tattoo that says "If You Say So" in the exact same place as the tattoo in this episode. They were the last words Cory said to her before he died (and the title of her song). The final song, On Our Way, is by a Swedish rock band called The Royal Concept. This episode was actually the first time I heard the song too. I've discovered so many songs and artists from watching Glee. Also, agree with your thoughts at the end about unisex bathrooms. Literally mind your own business and stop worrying about other people who are trying to pee in peace. But as for kids not being alone in the bathroom, it depends on how old they are. Are you talking about a 3 year old or a 10 year old? Cuz a 10 year old can definitely go to the bathroom by themself, while a 3 year old can't.

Will once again being a douche. It's getting harder and harder to defend him. But honestly I'm more disappointed in the other Glee kids who didn't say anything and even agreed. The amount of times Marley has been screwed over by these people is absurd. Regarding Marley and Jake, I am definitely on Marley's side. He had been pressuring her way before that night. They hadn't even talked about having sex but he just assumed and had this whole thing planned out without even asking her. And I'm sorry but if you break up or even THINK about cheating on your significant other because they won't have sex, you're a douche. I get sex is an important thing in a relationship but if you truly love that person you'll respect them enough to wait. And if you're a douche, at least it's better to be honest than cheat. Apparently Penny was supposed to be Finn‘s love interest in S5. If so, it makes sense why there's absolutely no chemistry between her and Sam. I just don't get why they didn't create a new character altogether for Sam, or if they had already hired the actress then change her character. The Wide Awake performance is so underrated. I already love the original version but that arrangement was so beautiful. But yeah, how they portrayed Katy Perry as this 'wholesome anti-Gaga' was so weird, when she literally had a breakout song about kissing another woman and liking it, and was naked in the California Gurls music video just covering her privates. Gaga vs. Taylor or even Katy vs. Taylor would've made more sense, at least back in 2013. The Marry The Night performance is hands down on of the best performances of Glee EVER (fun fact: Naya was actually filming it - though I don't think she ever posted it online). I know Adam Lambert is pretty big in the industry, touring with Queen and all, but I feel like he's still so underrated, especially among younger people. He is SO talented, and not just the voice but the style and charisma as well. Also, Demi's high note in Roar used to be my ringtone for the longest time. SHE DID THAT!!!! And thank you Jesus my Lord and Saviour for Sam's abs! 😍🤣

I adore this episode. The first time they verbalise just who Superman is. And what he represents.

Oh boy, twerk week 😶 I just hated Mr. Schue so much in this episode, his acting with the students were just so groose 🤢🤮 But I have to say, some performances were really good, like If I Were a Boy, and Wrecking Ball. Ps : Blaine's twerk is just something else 😂😂😂😂 Ps 2: Chris Colfer's shirtless...damn 😶👀 Ps 3: Will's tantrum 😂😂😂😂😂 Ps 4: Rachel's tattoo 😭😭😭💔💔💔 And the curious fact is Lea has this tatoo untill today 😭😭😭💔💔

Ugh. I hate the idea of unisex bathrooms. I think in a large space like a mall or an airport, absolutely make those available, but also have male only and female only dotted throughout as well. Or have individual rooms like they do for handicapped people or parents with babies (changing tables). Larger schools/universities, same story. But smaller places like a restaurant or a book store or something should stick with the separate male or female or unisex if it's only one toilet and it locks from the inside. I am a live and let live kind of guy, but I am too uncomfortable sharing space like that with people of my own gender much less with the opposite.

It may not seem like it now with the way the world is, but this episode was pretty brave at the time. It was messy and had some rough edges but the message was there. It was nice to see Unique have a few moments.

I love seasons1,2,3,4 and 6 but season 5 was just missing something but amazing reaction video

If I Were a Boy and On Our Way saved the episode for me.

Now that's it. Glee is dead and it only gets worse. But I really like S6.
